10 million factory-new single units of glassware, cutlery, crockery, furniture and kitchen technology were used for the Football World Cup. 600 articulated lorries, 1100 single consignments and a 900-strong workforce. A great challenge, which the company and all the associated businesses took on. A logistical masterpiece, the success of which placed ProfiMiet in the history books. The sports touch continued straight away. In December 2006 the contract for the DOHA Asian Games followed, and in May 2007 the final of the Champions League in Athens.

The grand opening of ProfiMiet GmbH Austria, in Vienna, in September 2006, saw the beginning of the expansion of our European business. This was followed by Salzburg in February 2007. To add to the five largest locations in Germany, further branches were added in Fürth, Dresden, Duisburg and Frankfurt-City in June 2007, thus providing ever better cross-linked all-round service across the entire nation. The company pursued its expansion at strategically important locations in giant leaps in 2007. However, not with the aim of being present everywhere, but rather with the goal of having the accustomed quality and services available for our clients in an ideal fashion. Negotiations are already taking place with possible franchise partners in order to expand our Eastern European activities. The starting signal will be given in November for a further major location, and also the establishment of our business in Switzerland will be carried through at the beginning of 2008.
