Culinary Olympics promotion kicked off

A very unique and colourful cable car was presented as an "appetiser" for the 22nd IKA /Culinary Olympics 2008 in Erfurt

Erfurt/Frankfurt am Main. Erfurt in Germany is awaiting its guests for next year's 22nd IKA / Culinary Olympics. From October 18 to 22, 2008, the world's best chefs and pastry chefs will gather in Erfurt to show their expertise and know-how in culinary arts. The international four-day competition which takes place only every four years is considered the most important event in this field. And while the hosting German Chefs Association is looking forward to welcoming colleagues from more than 35 countries, an extraordinary city promotion was kicked off.

HansDampf, combination cooking technology - The expert in the world of cooking



HansDampf is an outstanding component in the product range of MKN, the German premium manufacturer of professional cooking technology, which sets innovative standards in combination cooking technology. Distinctive practise orientation is especially important to MKN; the company keeps in touch with cooking professionals from all over the world, through an intensive advisory service and interesting seminars, e.g. "Experience cooking with HansDampf cooking technology" in the cook arena in Wolfenbüttel and, in lots of MKN-professional cooking centres.

MKN was partner of the chefs Olympiad as early as 2004 and provided the national youth teams with its high quality professional cooking technology and HansDampf combination cooking technology.

The given programs can also be varied to personal ideas; personalised programs can be saved and recalled. They are quick and easy to select with the symbols. FlexiCombi - professional cooking has never been so easy!

When using manual operation the basic functions like, steaming, convection, combisteaming and perfection (the new dimension in regeneration and banquet), can be chosen simply by pushing a button.

With FlexiRack®, the unique flexibility and capacity concept, 50% more can be produced with most cooking methods (compared to HD 1/1 GN), thanks to FlexiRack®-special accessories. E.g. on the FlexiRack®-special chicken grid, 12 chickens ,1400g each, that is 36 per grill process in10.1! More production in the same time saves work time and energy!

WaveClean® - the innovative cleaning system is a further highlight, as standard! Safe, easy and clean handling due to the patented concept of rinsing agent and detergent in a two-in-one cartridge sealed with protective wax!

Further innovative features: PHIeco-technology with DynaSteam-system (patented, regulated steam generation with integrated heat recovery), individual climate control AtmosControl, SteamExhaustSystem (no troublesome escape of steam when opening the door at the end of the cooking time) and RackControl (to monitor foods cooking simultaneously).
