Culinary Olympics promotion kicked off

A very unique and colourful cable car was presented as an "appetiser" for the 22nd IKA /Culinary Olympics 2008 in Erfurt

Erfurt/Frankfurt am Main. Erfurt in Germany is awaiting its guests for next year's 22nd IKA / Culinary Olympics. From October 18 to 22, 2008, the world's best chefs and pastry chefs will gather in Erfurt to show their expertise and know-how in culinary arts. The international four-day competition which takes place only every four years is considered the most important event in this field. And while the hosting German Chefs Association is looking forward to welcoming colleagues from more than 35 countries, an extraordinary city promotion was kicked off.

VarioBoost® cooks 50% faster: The highly compressed network-like heater structure transfers the heat to the food totally evenly, thus preventing the food from sticking. The thin pan base means that the VarioCooking Center® is ready for use extremely quickly. It also cools down again just as quickly, in good time for the next production.
VarioBoost® only heats the base of the pan: The energy is transferred directly to the food - burning at hot edges and expensive energy losses are now things of the past.

There is no need for conventional inputs such as temperature, time or constant monitoring. The food is selected simply at the push of a button. VarioCooking Control® automatically detects the product-specific requirements, the size of the food and the load size. The cooking time and the timings of any necessary manual intervention are calculated individually and constantly adjusted. Even country-specific eating and cooking habits are considered. The built-in intelligent cooking - VarioCooking Control® - emits an audible signal when you need to do something, such as turn a steak. The remaining cooking time is displayed.
The VarioCooking Center® is also child's play to operate. Simply select food and off it goes. Time-consuming user training is no longer needed.
